Punjab Domicile Certificate
The residence or domicile certificate is only issued to those who are permanent residents of the state. In the case of applying for a domicile certificate in Punjab, you need to assure the department that you are a permanent resident. This can be done by providing the above mentioned documents. These documents need to upload (if applying online) or attached (if applying offline) with the application form.
Eligibility Criteria for residence certificate in Punjab
The applicant should be residing for at least 3 years in the state
OR
The parents of the applicant are permanent residents of the Punjab
- The applicant (or his parents) are holders of any property in the State.
- The applicant must have a ration card.
- The applicant’s name should be there on the voter list
Required Documents or Information for Filling Domicile Application Form
- Birth Certificate / Passport / Verification from Sarpanch or Nambardar or MC for proving your place of Birth
- Proof of property ownership (Copy of Farad or sale deed)
- Copy of Ration Cards First Page & Second Page / Aadhaar / Voter ID Card / Passport /Driving License / Arms License with Photo / Certified Voter List
- Applicant’s Photo
Application Fee to be Paid
- If you are submitting the online form, you need to pay the application processing fee of Rs. 75 plus Rs. 10 Govt. Fee
- For Offline applications, you need to submit a fee of Rs. 12

Head to the Digital Punjab portal and login into your account
- If you haven’t signup yet, Register Now
- Once registered, log in to your account
- Now, from the dashboard, click on “Citizen Services” and search for “Domicile” on the next page

- Then, click on “View”
- This opens up the relevant page

- Read the given details and then click on the “Click to Apply Service” Button
Note: Make sure your profile is completely updated before applying
- Now, the online application form will open up
- Enter all the asked details correctly
- Then make the online payment and submit the form
- Note download the application number for future reference.
